Fr. John Keller has accepted a part-time position at the University of San Diego as director of the Center for Christian Spirituality (CSS). CSS programs address spiritual, theological, biblical, ethical, and social justice issues through non-degree programs and lectures, academic courses taught in conjunction with other USD departments or school and certificate programs.

Bro. Carlos Medina, OSA, Bro. Mark Menegatti, OSA, and Fr. Kirk Davis, OSA, were part of the August 2011 Augustinian delegation from California at World Youth Day in Spain.

Students from Saint Augustine High School in San Diego, CA and Villlanova Preperatory School in Ojai, CA, along with adults and members of the Province of St. Augustine, who accompanied them, gathered in Spain during World Youth Day, August 2011.

Fr. Tom Verber, OSA pastor of Our Lady of Grace Church in Castro Valley, CA and a Peace Corps volunteer in Kenya after college, visited the Augustinian parish of Sacred Heart in Baba Dogo, one of the poorest areas in Nairobi , Kenya this summer with several members of his parish.

On June 11, 2011, Rev. Ronnie Custorio, OSA, was ordained to the Presbyterate in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, in Ojai, CA by Bishop Dan Turley, OSA. Many Augustinians, family members, and friends were present for Ronnie's Ordination and celebration.

At the Thursday evening celebration of the 2011 Province Chapter, Joe and Mary Silvestrie were informed by Most Rev. Bob Prevost, OSA, that they are Affiliates of the Order of St. Augustine.

On June 8, 2011, Br. Carlos Medins, OSA and Br. Mark Menegatti, OSA. renewed their Simple Vows to Most Rev. Robert Prevost, OSA, the Prior General of the Order of St. Augustuine.
